Grup Medikal Ltd. was established in 2005, in Istanbul. We worked with AMS Sales Cooperation as an exclusive distributor from 2005 till 2009. Grup Medikal has a sister company named Çınartaş Inc. Çınartaş was established in 1975 in Bursa. Çınartaş has been giving services in medical field with its 33 year experience, six branch offices and over 70 stuffs in Eskişehir, Adapazarı, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Afyon and Kütahya. Çınartaş was exclusive distributors of Alken and Alfawasserman till 2009 and sub-dealer of 28 different companies now such as Abbot, Terumo, BD, 3M, J&J, Ethicon, Aesculap, BBraun, etc. Our total annual turnover was approximately 14M US Dollars in 2008, 5M US Dollars in 2009, and 8M US Dollars in 2010.
Grup Medikal is distributing its products all over Turkey via regional dealers and Çınartaş. There are 62 sub-dealers; 47 of which have contracts with Grup. Our company’s most competitive edge is that its staff is very professional and educated and sub-dealers are well experienced in their field. We enter into pharmaceuticals business as of 2009 as Grup Derma Ltd. Grup Derma was established in 2009. We have very experienced and talented business partners from pharmaceutical companies in Grup Derma.
Grup imports products from United States. Legal requirements and paperwork are done by outsourced legal consultants. Currently, there are no significant obstacles in importing medical products into Turkey. According to the Turkish Customs Office, there are no quotas for medical products.
